Job DescriptionDuties include:
•Provide support to operations to ensure downtime is minimized.
•Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient and cost effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.
•Support and work with outside groups such as engineering, project management, and the Operations Excellence team on safety, optimization, and expansion initiatives.
•Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.
•May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.
•Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances
•Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend
•Must be available 24 hrs a day Mon-Fri when on call and must be available for scheduled on call weekends.
•Must be able to respond to call outs within 30 minutes.
•Must be able to work on high voltage electrical systems 480V, 4160V, 6600V 12470V etc.
•Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems 480V, 4160V, 12470V
•Knowledge of conduit installation techniques and wiring installations
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
•Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs
•Proficient with Wonderware
•Strong communication skills
•Strong computer skills
•Strong analytical skills
•Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to KM’s insurer
•Must be able to work with a team, take direction from manager, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.
•High School Diploma
•Technical or Trade School
•Associates Degree in Electronic Technician or Similar Technology Degree experience may be substituted for degree.
