Looking for & IT Director that has some form of history in IT services with-in a telesales & distribution/logistics business. Alternatively, a retail or e-tail background with IT service which covers both retail stores & distribution centres. The IT Director will have experience of representing IT services at a board level & working with other members of a board & peers in achieving commercial success whilst protecting business & its employees from potential threats. The IT Director should be capable taking a practical approach to the direction of IT operational services ensuring they maintained to keep pace with the daily demands but providing direction & guidance for all about the future landscape & desires of the IT department & its services offered in the long term.
My Client is looking for a significant leader who can demonstrate direction & strategy with-in IT whilst taking accountability for critical business IT services on a day to day basis. Taking what are at heart are a long-established IT teams, introducing new members & methods to capitalise on the IT services which are required to make the UK IT department the role model for IT services for my client’s group of companies.
Due to an ERP transformation project my client is looking for the IT Director to work alongside the technical delivery & change management colleagues to become a significant board member & director for delivery & realisation of this initiative for the UK.
An IT Director that can identify strong operational monitoring & controls should be. Whilst requiring a passion for spotting commercial opportunity & delivery through systems & development.
As the responsible IT Director for the UK business the successful candidate will expect to have a full appreciation & proven career in working in or directing the following services which are at the heart of the IT services & aspirations for the UK
Taking immediate control & direction for all systems & legacy transitional solutions in use by the largest of the UK Businesses, by being the accountable & responsible person for these services. Ensuring up time through forward planning & preparation is paramount. Proving a formal channel of communication & operational services to you colleagues on the UK board & in conjunction with the reporting line through the UK Chief Operating Officer. Leverage & consolidation of IT services in the other UK companies for IT service areas outside of ERP. Taking a matrix managed approach to the IT professionals & services offered & contributing to the success, compliance & standards in use. Directing & moving the UK SAP ERP services from an in-house operation to that of a hosted service.
