Job Description

Technical Manager Dairy- North West- Circa £55k + company car/ allowance, pension, healthcare (Total package circa £62k)

NES are proud to be partnering exclusively with NIRAS, an internationally recognised engineering consultancy, whose services span a plethora of industry sectors across the globe, employing 2,200 staff in offices across 21 countries.

Having recently completed the acquisition of VM Engineering, a specialist process engineering consultancy, to further grow their footprint & expertise in the dairy & hygienic process sectors, NIRAS are now looking to identify a dynamic and influential Technical Manager, with a track-record of providing technical expertise on Project Management, Process Engineering and Turnkey Projects, for a customer base that counts some of the leading names in the food industry.

Based predominantly in their project offices in Greater Manchester, when not travelling to customer sites across the UK, you will be tasked with providing process engineering expertise during initial design phases of projects, while also supporting the successful implementation, commissioning and start-up of projects as they progress.

As Technical Manager for the business, you will be expected to run with your own projects while also reviewing the work and providing technical direction for the wider process engineering team. As such, you will be able to point to significant process engineering experience gained in a similar, ideally consulting based environment, preferably within the dairy sector, with backgrounds in similar hygienic process industries also considered.

In return, you will be joining a world renowned consultancy, during an exciting period of growth and expansion, where you will be given the responsibility and independence to add significant value to the company, with a reward culture where your achievements will be recognised & personal development supported.

There is a generous salary & rewards package reflective of the responsibility attached to the opportunity, including a company car benefit, company pension and private healthcare scheme.

If this sounds like an opportunity that excites you, and where you could add value, then we’d love to hear from you.
