Simulation Software Engineer – Permanent – Abingdon, Oxfordshire
 

Simulation Software Engineer experience:-  Strong C++. Mathematical or scientific programming.  

Cross platform development (Linux & PC).  Full development cycle.  Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work to commercial deadlines. Good communication skills

Simulation Software Engineer Job Specification

Software Engineer is required to strengthen the commercial High Performance Computing software development group. This team works on the modeling of hydrocarbon reservoirs and on the development of end-user workflows involving the simulation of production from an oilfield asset. This position involves work spanning the whole product development life cycle, enhancing and extending the functionality of our commercial products. These products are market leaders with an established user-base, and the development team has been steadily growing over the past few years.

The successful applicant will be required to collaborate with other groups, both internal and external to the organization; hence a good team worker is required for this role. Strong software skills are required to develop high quality technical applications.

Simulation Software Engineer exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:

Commercial software development

Parallel programming

Inter-process communication

MPI / OpenMP

GPU / CUDA

Cloud Architectures

Object Oriented Design

Simulation Software Engineer Qualifications:

Either: Bachelors/Masters in Computer science / Software Engineering,, or Masters or above in a mathematical, scientific or engineering discipline.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
