Job Description

Job Summary The senior technical engineer role will provide high level technical advice, council, and support in connection with customer stimulation activities including, acid fracturing, proppant fracturing, matrix stimulation, sand control and production conformance in both conventional and unconventional applications.  Act as the main focal point for customer operations support including job design, technical discussion, solution development, job execution, post job analysis and reporting. Additionally, will be required to provide on-site support including job evaluation, assessment and recommendations concerning job procedures, design changes, and on spot decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with and advise clients and client’s technical personnel regarding frac design, technical solutions and equipment
  • Perform petrophysical log interpretations and validation for stimulation design
  • Support customer completion design activities related to fracturing and stimulation options
  • Support technical improvement and developments on stimulation service delivery aspects
  • Apply expertise and technical sound solutions to fulfil job duties
  • Interact daily with team members and department regarding project execution related to fracturing and stimulation activities
  • Implement the Company’s health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to their area of responsibility

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of work-related experience in similar land operations work environment.
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree of engineering, science, or related disciplines
  • In depth Knowledge of petrophysical and geomechanical logs interpretation and associated critical parameters required for fracturing job designs
  • Expert Knowledge of hydraulic fracturing scientific and mathematical principals and ability to make practical application of such knowledge in performance of job duties
  • Ability to design models for fracturing jobs and to assist Field Engineers and Field Technical representatives with these matters
  • In depth knowledge of GOHFER, FracCADE, FracPro and similar fracturing modelling softwares
  • Design and execute quality assurance/quality control and perform post-job analysis for acid and proppant fracturing treatments
  • Knowledge of acid and proppant fracturing job design aspects in conventional as well as unconventional assets
  • In depth knowledge of various frac completion designs in vertical and horizontal applications, including plug and perf, Sliding sleeve, pinpoint, and others
  • Knowledge of prejob pressure diagnostics analyses including, DFIT, MiniFrac, Step down test and others
  • Knowledge of fracturing and acidizing fluid types and technologies and able to advice and troubleshoot fluid and mix water related issues
  • Substantial supervisory experience in the field as well as in office-based environment
  • for planning and executing daily operations support
  • Ability to conduct nodal analysis and advise customer on production performance related matters
