Job Description

  • The Supply Planner is responsible for fulfilling stock requirements for Product & Service Delivery and Technology Lifecycle Management locations and Distribution Service Centers. The Supply Planner optimizes stock costs through field material transfers; defines stock policy and drives key initiatives to reduce overall cost of stock to the Product Lines. In the Distribution Service Center structure, the Supply Planner is responsible for optimizing the stocking of parts in the Distribution Service Center.

  • Perform other special projects and tasks assigned by the direct supervisor in accordance with professional experience and area of expertise.
  • Provide administrative support to local procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Provide clerical support associated with preparing and filing specific Supply Chain documents, reports, performance indicators and correspondence.
  • Perform clerical duties associated with processing Supply Chain data, information and documentation.
  • Perform clerical duties associated with creating, distributing, managing and closing purchase orders.
  • Participate in Supply Chain-related audits.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Comply with client and local procedures applicable to the job function. Develop, communicate and implement medium- and long-term sourcing strategies with the goal of assuring quality and delivery performance while minimizing total cost of ownership.
  • Consolidate needs including key portfolio figures, need types and internal constraints.
  • Perform upstream market analysis such as key characteristics and trends.
  • Assess risks and identify mitigation plans related to the category portfolio.
  • Participate in the evaluation of current and prospective suppliers. Define the short list of preferred suppliers for each category and sub-category assigned.
  • Propose future sourcing positioning and set objectives.
  • Help implement sourcing plans up to supplier, process and part qualifications; monitor compliance with the sourcing strategy.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Perform spend data analysis, supplier market analysis, risk analysis and cost structure assessment. Set cost targets and implement supplier reduction plan.
  • Comply with all client and local procedures applicable to the job function.
Experience

5 to 8 years years desirable in supply chain management in similar industry

Language skills

English (mandatory) Hindi (preferable)

1 year contarct and extendable
