An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of the most established and reputable manufacturing companies in the UK for a Electrically Bias Maintenance Engineer who will effectively maintain the equipment within the factory in a manner which upholds the quality of the operation, focusing on output, product quality, cost effectiveness and the preservation and improvement of the company’s machinery.
As the Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer….
You’ll be proactive and responsive to breakdowns in the plant and with the equipment in a manner which meets the day-to-day needs of the production department.
You’ll prioritise, through consultation with the Group Engineering Manager, the order of own workload, taking into account factory needs.
You’ll contribute to the upkeep of all relevant technical documentation and stores.
You’ll ensure both group and individual objectives are positively progressed in line with the Maintenance Strategy, and positively contribute to site initiatives as requested (to include HACCP, TAS etc).
You’ll work with the factory planned maintenance system to both develop and complete planned maintenance routines whilst constantly monitoring the effectiveness of the system.
You’ll be responsible for identifying faults and assessing and communicating the effects on production, taking into account likely times scales for resolution and consequences of downtime.
You’ll be educated to NVQ 3 level and have significant experience as a Maintenance Engineer/Technician.
You’ll be electrically biased with a good grasp of following TPM’s and PPM’s
You'll have experience in the fault finding and interogation of Siemens S7/S8 or Allen Bradley PLC's
