NES Global Talent is currently searching for a Control Systems Inspector in Western Pennsylvania!

The Digital Systems Inspector is a member of the Process Automation Control & Optimization (PACO) Team within the Asset’s Technology Department. The Digital Systems Inspector will work closely with and share responsibility with the Process Control Domain(PCD)/IT Engineer and Instrument Specialists for the overall technical integrity of the plant control systems. This role will participate in control systems commissioning activities with the project team and is pivotal to the successful commissioning of the plant automation system during the project phase.


During the run and maintain phase, this individual’s focus will be day-to-day first level technical support and maintenance for plant control system hardware and/or software. This individual will work closely with the rest of the PACO team, Instrument Maintenance Team and Vendors to support effective and cost-efficient control systems maintenance campaign.



• The Inspector will act as a direct liaison between the technology and maintenance organizations. He/she is expected to take a lead role in troubleshooting, determining root cause of complex control systems failures, data acquisition problems and developing technically sound solutions.

• The Inspector will support and assist in establishing and maintaining PM library and will contribute to develop detailed PM texts (maintenance procedures) for plant control systems and 3rd package systems.

• The inspector will support all the Operating System (OS) updates, vendor patches for control systems and Anti-Virus definition updates for all the control systems servers and workstations.

• The inspector will monitor, maintain and support the Process Control Domain (PCD) network in terms of its integrity and security.

• The inspector will manage the critical data / program backup for all critical control systems and network equipment. The inspector will also support the data restore process in case of any PCD-Integrity incidents.

• The inspector will be champion of best work practices managing the Process Control Domain Integrity and Cybersecurity. This person will also be responsible to enforce the digital portable media / portable computer policy for the site.

• The inspector will assist the PCD-I engineer in maintaining the asset inventory register for all PCD based equipment.

• The inspector will follow strict PCD-I Management of Change (MOC) policy for any hardware/software changes done within Process Control Domain (PCD).
