NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client is currently a AESO Compliance Coordinator  for a 1 year contract in Sherwood Park. This is a 6-12 month contract to start but could be extended. 

 The AESO Rule and Reliability Standards Compliance Project Coordinator, will report directly to the Operations Manager. This will be a term position for the next 6-12 months or until complete.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring The Client is in compliance with AESO Rules and Reliability Standards, so the Cogeneration plant can start. 


Key Activities and Responsibilities:


    • Take overall accountability to achieve compliance of the facility with AESO Rules and Reliability Standards
    • Collaborate with multiple business units to develop compliance standards
    • Ensure Operations practices are compliant with the AESO Rules and Reliability Standards
    • Work with internal stakeholders to identify competencies
    • Develop and implement training requirements to ensure compliance
    • Oversee development of operating procedures, programs, compliance plans, standards and evidence with authorities and business units
    • Audit to ensure compliance is met with all rules and standards
    • Work and interact with regulatory organizations (e.g. AESO, AUC, MSA, WECC, NERC)
    • Coordinate compliance plans and audits with all facility owners


Education, Skills and Experience:



    • Five years of related experience in regulatory compliance
    • Experience in cyber security, enterprise applications and business analysis
    • Clear understanding of ARS, CIP, AESO, NERC, MSA rules, regulations and standards
    • Strong leadership skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines
    • Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Well-developed interpersonal, team, customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to manage relationships
    • Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, growth environment
