NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major We are a leading sustainable construction materials and solutions company who is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to work on their project based in Berlin, Germany.
The position will operate on a contract basis for 2-3 year duration depending on the scope of the project. The schedule will be Mon – Fri. In return the individual will be provided with an excellent day rate.

Job Purpose
The Civil Project Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil engineering as assigned by theProject Manager. Coordinate, review, and ensure compliance with the client’s civil engineering guidelines, design criteria, specifications and standards during the development and execution of the project required for EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa) studies and projects, also considering the principles of Health, safety, quality, cost and time, applying the methodologies, process and procedures of the civil engineering department.
As a site engineer, you will monitor diversified aspects of construction project management. This will include planning, coordination, and supervision of on-site activities. You will also foster effective communication by liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.

Main Accountabilities
• Coordinate, supervise, and manage detailed civil engineering processes, including validating calculations and designs from different engineering sources.
• Verify compliance with norms, standards, and design specifications.
• Supervise and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Report project updates, milestones, and potential risks to the project manager and key stakeholders.
• Plan and oversee the allocation of resources, materials, and equipment to optimize project efficiency, while monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and adhering to budget constraints.
• Develop job concept catalogs for bidding and hiring in construction projects, including procuring all materials and civil services needed for projects.
• Regularly update Capex estimates and planning, contributing to defining project contracting strategies.
• Review tender documentation for construction projects and provide technical support throughout the tender process, including reviewing offers and negotiations, to facilitate the handover of projects from Engineering to Construction.

Job Profil
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree and Master’s Degree
Area of Study: Civil Engineering
Knowledge of PC programs: Word, Excel PowerPoint
Specify: CAD, AutoCad general knowledge, Staad Pro, SAP 2000, Robot, Primavera or Project
Language Skills: German >=90 % (Native desirable) and English >90 %

Experience
 >=5 Civil Engineering and Projects
>=8 Engineering or construction firms
>=2 Site Civil Engineering

 Other requirements

1. General knowledge of cement industry process or other industrial plants.
2. General knowledge of engineering and projects process development.
3. Leadership skills
4. Site experience required
