This well established and expanding national firm provides high level safety products to the construction industry. This organisation has successfully delivered on a range of projects around New Zealand and have earned a reputation of delivering exceptional service on time and on budget. With their head office in South Taranaki (near Hawera) you would be working with some of best in the business and will be able to grow and expand your career with them. This role has the flexibility of being based in New Plymouth for 2 days a week but the other 3 days you would be based in their main offices near Hawera.
You will be involved with a range of duties but mainly including the production of drawings and working on new products and product ranges so 3D Modelling would be ideal or having the capabilities of learning it. Experience with Solid Works, or Solid Edge is preferred, however; if you have fantastic computer skills, the right attitude and your values match theirs and you want an opportunity to move into design/ drafting they will provide the relevant training needed.
General duties will include:
- Drafting engineering designs and drawings from preliminary calculations and concepts
- Managing the drafting duties of small to large scale projects
- Liaising with Project Managers, Production Staff and other relevant internal and external parties
Experience on the tools carrying out practical work is highly recommended and you would also need to be versatile in your work as you could at times be required to go to various sites to carry out site measurements.
