Fantastic opportunity to join one of the world’s leading Oil, Gas and Energy companies that have been operating in New Zealand for around 120 years. They are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Field Engineer to join their Wellington based team. 

The role includes taking full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of projects as assigned from front end design to construction and through to project completion while achieving deadlines and within set budgets. These will vary from smaller scale to larger scale projects based on the terminal requirements and will consist of pipework, pumps, tanks and associated equipment and systems.

You will be required to act in a Project Management capacity and perform other duties assigned by the Lead Field Engineer.

To be successful in this role, we are seeking the following:
  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred but would consider others)
  • 3 - 5+ years’ experience on multiple projects including engineering, construction, and project management activities.
  • A multi-discipline skillset would be highly advantageous
  • Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and lead through strong communication.
  • Strong organisational, planning and co-ordination skills
  • Adaptability to deal with tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priority
