Our client, a major international operating company, are seeking an Electrical Leader to work in their Field Operations (FOPS) department of a multi-billion dollar offshore development. 

This role would have the flexibility to initially be based in either Paris or Pau up to end of detailed engineering, then within the FPSO contractor premises in China from summer 2025. The Service is needed from FID within the project team and will evolve within the project execution-team organization.


The Service holder shall:
  • Review and approve requests for Hull, Mooring, Process, Utilities and Subsea packages technical proposals regarding Electrical activities for:

    • FPSO contract

    • Subsea contracts

    • O&M contract
       
  • For Electrical discipline / equipments:

    • Ensure reliability, availability, maintainability of production sites within efficient costs. Analyse failure modes, review maintenance plans and associated stock levels … in accordance with PAS study

    • Control for Operational and Capital Spares & Specific Tools management

    • Ensure fitness for purpose and integrity of all facilities (i.e. SECE with associated performance standard and MRT, …), according to Company and international standards and government regulations.

    • Ensure all necessary data are available for maintenance and operation. Participate in the commissioning of the monitoring systems, perform the Baseline and collect the Technical Records

    • Work with the Affiliate Maintenance department to ensure all of the above are consistent with the affiliate’s policies and methods, and work to realize synergies from a logistics, spares and human resources point of view. Prepare hand-over of activities to Affiliate Maintenance department.

ACTIVITIES:

HSE & Mechanics:

  • Adopt & demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to HSEQ rules & requirements, Company Ethics & “Code of Conduct” policy.

  • Ensures that conformity and certification of facilities is ensured.

  • Validate strategy and optimization of maintenance plans.

  • Follows Safety Critical Elements maintenance implementation.

Electrical maintenance:

  • Ensure implementation of operation and maintenance strategy based on FO objectives.

  • Approve the maintenance philosophy and strategy (spare parts, maintenance plans, outsourcing), monitor their implementation and advise on their effectiveness.

    • Shall point the observed problems in the design out and propose alternative solutions

    • Review equipment obsolescence

    • Manage quality, quantity, consumption of spare parts to ensure their availability

  • Ensure maintenance engineering is meeting availability, maintainability and operating costs.  Ensure the use of CMIMS onshore and on Sites to provide an accurate maintenance management system.

  • Manage technical expertise provided to sites in various maintenance disciplines to solve maintenance issues.

  • Develop periodic reporting activities of the Discipline and follow them

  • Review and comment Engineering documents related to Maintenance discipline.

  • Participate when requested to gap analysis between CTRs design and Company Specifications

  • Contribute to the definition of the Commissioning strategy.

  • Review Operational Test Procedures

  • Optimise OPEX

  • Evaluate CTR personnel.

  • Act as technical discipline focal point on specific project/work scopes and contracts : ensure interfaces with Company Entities when required & liaise with specialists Discipline Headquarters


DELIVERABLES:

In the context of teamwork and in the field of operations; the Service holder shall :

  • Review CONTRACTOR maintenance management system (FL, plan and procedures) and stock policy are properly set for Area Electrical team to reach target.

  • Share and provide COMPANY reliability analysis, optimization and availability of equipment in line with the production objectives

  • Review and comment Contract technical need for the Electrical team to implement on time in line with planning.

  • Participate and update REX and recommendation for future contract strategy.

  • Participate to CONTRACTOR GROUP audits


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advance Experience in Electrical and management, oil production knowledge.

  • Reliability, autonomy, analytical, organizational capacity and leadership

  • Very good knowledge of the Electrical Maintenance systems in offshore industry.

  • Good knowledge of GS and CR group

  • Languages of the service: English mandatory, French is a +
