Job Description

Our client, a leading EPC are currently recruiting for an Instrument Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month contract. This is a FIFO role on a 2/2 roster. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that the plant technical integrity is protected by managing instrument equipment in line with the commitments made as part of the safety case performance standards and design assumptions by ensuring;
    • That equipment is operated with limits
    • Equipment is maintained in line with statutory requirements
    • Drawings and documentation are maintained and are up to date
    • That site verification requests and technical queries from Perth office are prioritized and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Ensure the reliability of instrument equipment to meet annual delivery plan commitments by ensuring;
    • The right preventive maintenance tasks are being completed
    • Performance and condition monitoring program is in place
    • Trouble shooting, investigation and reporting of failures is conducted
    • Technical queries and improvements to plant and processes are identified through the FERR (Facilities Engineering Request Register) and implemented through the Management of Change MOC-F&O process
    • Deviation Management requests are prioritized and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that efficiency of maintenance processes on instrument equipment is conducted by;
    • Use of Reliability Centered Maintenance to optimize maintenance tasks
    • Maximize predictive maintenance techniques in instrument maintenance
    • Providing input into turnaround plans to ensure efficiencies in major equipment maintenance

 Experience Required:

  • Previous LNG experience is essential
