Engineering Maintenance Manager - Chemicals- North-West- £65-70k + Excellent benefits

Are you a skilled and experienced Man-Manager from a maintenance background, looking for a plant based position, offering a diverse array of responsibilities, with responsibility for a large multi-disciplinary team?

Based at their chemical manufacturing facility in the North West, the largest across their European business, a leading chemical company have an exciting opportunity to add to their existing dynamic culture, to recruit a Site Maintenance Manager, taking full responsibility for maintenance activities across discipline for the site.

With extensive experienced gained in a similar chemical manufacturing environment, you will be a natural leader and strong communicator, able to provide direction to a large team of technicians, engineers & planners, and communicate effectively with a number of internal customers.

With the site being top Tier COMAH regulated, ensuring the site complies with all relevant regulations, policies & procedures concerning engineering & maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities will also include asset integrity, contributing to site management & continuous improvement initiatives for the site, alongside budgetary control for the maintenance department.

As such, you will likely be an experienced Maintenance Manager, ideally with a degree qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline, with a track record in the chemicals industry. Consideration will also be given to experienced engineers from similar backgrounds, with requisite leadership qualities, looking to step up into management level positions.

  • Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical disciplines
  • Experience working in a chemical/ petrochemical manufacturing environment
  • Man management skills- This role has responsibility for a large team on site
