Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a well-known operator company, is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner in Lloydminster, SK for a 1 year contract. The qualified candidate MUST be local or have accommodations in the Lloydminster area as no LOA will be given. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Work with Senior Trades, Maintenance Foreman and Operations to develop planned work. 
  • Manage PM plans, develop new/refine existing plans, and analyze plans for efficiency 
  • Participate in maintenance review meetings with Operations, Maintenance Foreman, and Schedulers to: 
  • Discuss ongoing activities 
  • Prioritize activities 
  • Review upcoming planned work for the next two weeks 
  • Identify maintenance requirements which may have been overlooked 
  • Check SAP variance for new plans that are released and send out vetting emails to verify equipment on plans is correct. 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • A minimum of 3 years related maintenance experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and/or power generation industries 
  • Good working knowledge and experience with a Computer Centralized Maintenance System (CCMS) (e.g. SAP PM, Maximo, etc.) 
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite – especially Word and Excel 
  • Understanding of procurement and materials management practices 
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of tasks and priorities 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills 
  • Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude 
NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or Trades Certificate 
  • Working knowledge and experience with reliability and operational intregrity 
  • Supervisory/leadership experience 
  • Experience with maintenance philosophies, standards, strategies, practices, and processes within the energy industry 
  • Working knowledge of applicable energy industry Codes, Standards, Regulations, and Acts (design and construction practices, pressure and rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and operating process principles) 
  • Plant and production operations experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and apply new technology, strategies and processes 
  • Familiarity of applicable regulatory codes 
  • Working knowledge of EWR & MOC processes 
  • Familiarity with Heavy Oil operating principles
