Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a large operator company, has an opportunity for a Mechanical Coordinator in Vancouver, BC. This will be a 12-18 month contact. All candidates must be local as no camp or LOA is provided 

Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure mechanical facilities are contructed in accordance with the approved specifications
  • Ensure EPC Contractor executes and completes the mechanical activities in a well-planned, safe, sound and efficient manner
  • Inform the PMT of any potential risk for EH&S, excecution, contractor non-compliance and contract change
  • Determine resources and timing to fulfill and conduct inspection points
  • Communicate resourcing requirements to the Deputy Project Director for review and approval
  • Handle Project risk management items
  • Provide reports to PMT on regular basis, weekly, and monthly 
  • Provide specific details of impact of materializing risk on site cost and progress to support PMT's verification of claims in monthly statements
Requirements: 
  • Journeyman certificate in one or more mechanical trades
  • Minimum of 10 years working in journeyman mechanical trade 
  • Minimum of 10 years working as a construction inspectr or supervisor for construction contractors, EPC contractors or owners
  • Experience with cost estimating and scheduling mechanical construction activities
  • Full capability to read drawings and technical document both in paper form and in design software
