Job DescriptionManufacturing and service company in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Purchasing Officer to source and purchase all materials, parts, consumables and services required for the everyday operation of the workshop in Jubail, KSA.
1 - To establish the best possible net work of suppliers, that can provide all the requirements of operation, that meet the quality, delivery and prices needed, to run a successful and profitable company.
2 - To establish systems (records and data) to control all purchasing activities
3 - To set up long term credit agreements with suppliers to the best advantage of Itag and where possible to get the suppliers to hold stocks of critical materials/parts to avoid the company's holding unnecessary inventory on its books
4 - To work with stores/stock control to ensure stock/inventory levels are maintained to meet demands of production
5 - To use his experience in obtaining best prices for materials, tooling and consumables
6 - To work with maintenance department to ensure that spares for critical machines and plant are maintained
7 - To maintain records (stock levels) of all inventory in conjunction with stores departments
9 - To maintain records of all incoming/dispatch of materials and equipment (GRN - GRRN and Dispatch notes) against purchase order and job files
10 - To maintain records - of issue of material, tooling, parts, used by production departments in conjunction with stores department
11- Organizing external transport for deliveries and pick of material from suppliers and customers on request from sale admin.
12 - Prepare recommendations to management on improvements to purchasing systems and inventory levels.
13 - Prepare purchase orders for approval of management
14 - Obtain minimum of 3 separate quotations (where possible) for review by sales administration
15 - To supply information to Quality Assurance department on suppliers and sub contactors performance
