Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
 
Aker Solutions is looking for QS Engineers specializing in either Mechanical, Piping, Safety, or HVAC with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Stord and will be led from there.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Review supplier's documents and procedures.
  • Review and expedite supplier’s progress.
  • Participation in Vendor Witness tests, MC punch out, FAT, preservation and release, and other relevant activities.
  • Utilize ProArc and MIPS.
  • Generate PPFP based on supplier ITP & EPMS (Inspection & Test Plan / Engineering Procurement Manufacturing Schedule).
  • Conduct equipment inspections and oversee the manufacturing process to ensure quality.
  • Attend necessary and agreed witness/hold points, follow-up inspections, tests, and documentations.
  • Possible traveling with this position.
 
Skills and Levels Description:
  • Solid understanding of work processes within the relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in EPC processes within Topside and facilities / Renewables Segments.
  • Previous experience with Aker is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software programs such as MIPS, Microsoft Office 365, PCS (Pims, ProCoSys), and Autodesk Simulate.
  • Essential fluency in spoken and written Norwegian.
  • Possession of a relevant technical degree or equivalent. Alternatively, significant related work experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Efficient, proactive, and adaptable team player.
