POSITION TITLE:  Quality Manager
LOCATION: Plaquemine, LA

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas industry. Our client is a leading chemical operator with operations globally. They are looking to hire a Quality Manager to oversee their facility in Louisiana.

Quality Manager - chemical processing
  • Responsible for the Quality Management systems, Quality certifications, and laboratory operations supporting 3 operations produced in the facility  
  • Ensure and help to maintain safety standards
  • Initiate, prioritize, manage and/or participate in projects designed to improve the safety in laboratory operations.
  • Ensure and help with lab compliance through safety meetings, tailgate discussions, audits, etc.
  • Responsible for the development and justification of annual lab supplies, lab stores, and quality systems audit budget
  • Drive the development, implementation, and reporting of relevant key performance metrics demonstrating the reliability and accuracy of laboratory results
  • Drive lean principles within the quality practices to improve overall procedures and policies
  • Ensure all regulatory training is completed by all department members and self.
Quality Manager - chemical processing
  • BS Chemistry or Natural science required (Advanced Degree preferred)
  • GMP and ISO methods requirement required
  • Minimum 10 years experience in chemicals, industry encompassing a broad set of experiences some of which should include manufacturing, technology, and quality
  • Knowledge of ASTM testing methods preferred
  • Strong experience with QMS
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience utilizing lean and/or six sigma principals in a quality setting
