Lonza are well regarded specialists in the research, development and manufacture of agrichemical and timber treatment requirements for both the national and international markets. They are continuing to develop and adapt to market conditions and requirements and their top of the line research, formulation and manufacturing gives them a strong edge over their competition. Zelam are heavily involved in the manufacture of herbicide and fungicide products and have some complex scheduling challenges in place.
As a progressive business that are always striving to improve systems and processes and they put a great deal of focus on ensuring their products are of the highest quality. Due to this they have created a new role with their continued growth and are looking for a Supply Planning and Scheduling Manager to assist them to streamline their current manufacturing systems and to ensure they are getting maximum productivity out of their manufacturing operations by providing a pivotal link between production and procurement.
You will be reporting to the Site Manager and will be overall responsible for production scheduling and planning (including distribution network) on the New Plymouth production site using planning systems in collaboration with a multi-functional team. Setting up and owning the Production Plan to ensure maximum output is achieved is a given an you will likely to be involved in cross over with assisting at a higher level when the Plant Manager is away so this role will offer career advancement opportunities with their continued growth. You will be responsible for the overall supply planning and scheduling activities for all products manufactured on site including the planning for distribution warehouses and tolling partners who receive material produced at the New Plymouth production site.
Other key requirements for this role include:
- Production planning and coordination experience ideally within the manufacturing sector
- Logistical understanding
- Analytical and numerical data compilation skills
- SAP experience
As this role has a critical part to play in the business it is preferred that you have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. A tertiary qualification is also ideally required, preferably at degree level.
