Job objective:
NESF Client is a dynamic matrix organisation that requires self-driven people who understand the needs of a corporation but also have an entrepreneurial spirit. At this time, we require a motivated Technical Sales Representative who knows how to delineate real prospects, based on goals and objectives assigned.

Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Participate in discussions to set monthly, quarterly and yearly KPIs (Goals and Objectives).
  • Attend daily meetings to discuss progress, challenges and needs for assistance
  • Achieve all KPIs set and formalised.
  • Build a Customer Plan for selected clients and ensure it is updated continually with the latest information.
  • Set weekly schedules to visit plants for formal sales calls and participate in impromptu, unplanned, unsolicited sales calls (although brief).
  • Attend all qualified site visits to understand the technicalities of the opportunity and establish a relationship with the project owner.
  • Attend customer events
  • Plan Clients events for customers (with the help of Communications Department)
  • Attend conferences and networking opportunities
  • Participate in Bid Development
  •  Other tasks / responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time

The ideal candidate must possess:
  • An undergraduate degree or certificate in a technical field of study. 
  • Sales-specific formal training or Sales As A Profession would be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical sales with demonstrable successes at maintaining and achieving KPIs.
  • A fundamental understanding of Lead to Contract and Stage Gate processes.
  • Understanding of accounting processes such as WIP, Payment Days, VOWD and their impact on Gross Margin
  • Ability to formulate and follow a prescribed plan.  Deviations from a plan must be discussed and agreed before execution.
  • Effective communications with customers because the candidate is on the frontline.
  • The ability to listen carefully to the needs of the customer
  • The ability to understand the Real Needs of the customer
  • A Point Lisas Energy Association certificate, (PLEA).
