The start of your recruitment career with NES Global Talent will involve you sourcing the best candidates for specific roles and generating client leads, following KPIs and meeting performance objectives. You will build a deep understanding of the market you operate in and the wider economy by learning from in-house training, on-the-job experience, and the help of more experienced colleagues around you on a day-to-day basis. If you are new to recruitment, you will be fully effective and a consistent performer in 12 - 24 months. For consultants already possessing a recruitment background, this timescale would be dramatically reduced. At this level you should still expect to receive a significant bonus and be involved in the other rewards and benefits the company offers.
Senior / Principal Recruitment Consultant
After around 1 - 3 years of experience and consistent performance, you will progress to the level of Senior Recruitment Consultant. You will have developed an in-depth and expert view of your market and the recruitment processes that we offer, with a number of established clients and contacts. Once more, you will be able to share your knowledge with more junior members of the team whilst developing your own mentoring skills. As you will have well established clients and candidates, you can expect to benefit from our generous bonus structure even further. This is taken one step further when you become Principal Recruitment Consultant, operating comfortably and generating higher income.
When you have a deep understanding of your market and have consistently performed against targets, you will have the option to manage a small team whilst still actively recruiting for roles and stepping up your business development activities. You will lead by example to guide and help your team meet KPIs and performance goals, whilst receiving your own support and mentoring from senior colleagues. As well as enjoying an increased basic salary and performance bonus, you will develop key business skills such as business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Recruitment / Operations Manager
From Managing Consultant you will progress to Recruitment Manager level with greater responsibility both on team management and P&L responsibility. Dependent on your specific role and the size of the team and budget you manage, you could have direct involvement in recruitment activities or have little/no involvement, and could even see you manage support staff such as assignment support team members. The role will be less about leading by example and more focused on coaching and developing all the members of your team. Depending on your experience and performance record, you could become a Recruitment Manager with 4+ years of experience. Once you have achieved success at this level you will have the opportunity to advance to Operations Manager level, with full management responsibilities over a bigger overall team across multiple locations, full budgeting and financial responsibilities, and the opportunity to be involved in key project planning.
Director and Beyond
Once in a Director role, your responsibilities grow larger and you will be more involved with high level decision making. You will be an expert in developing and motivating your teams to grow further and identifying key opportunities to expand operations in your area. If your aim is to reach for top management level, this is certainly achievable. Many of our senior staff were promoted from within, including our Chief Operating Officer, Simon Coton, who joined the company as our first graduate and became COO in just over 10 years.
